President Reports
President Reports
Each of us was assigned a president to learn about in class. We did research on our president using apps on the ipad. Then, we created a sloppy copy of our report. After that, we edited the report and made a good copy. Then, we created oil pastel pictures of our president and finally we used the funny movie maker app to make our president actually talk and tell about his life.Irish Blessing

We learned about Irish blessings in class and we were able to read some examples and talk about them in a group discussion. Then, we were able to create our own Irish Blessings to share.Eucharist Vocabulary

We are about to receive our first communion. After we learned all the vocabulary we needed we created altar scenes using our vocabulary. We had to include a priest, vestment, chalice, paten, stole, tabernacle, and more!

We learned about the three branches of government. After we read books about each branch, learned about our leaders and about how to make laws, we then created water colored pictures of the three branches. We drew our president, vice president and senators and more!

We created pictures of ourselves and then added our own measurements to make it all about us! We had to be measured from head to toe! This was a fun way to end our measurement unit on inches.

We wrote about how we could catch a leprechaun by writing a sequence story about our trap. Then, we created our own lerprechauns and made them stuck inside our jars. It was fun to creativity write about our traps.

In class we learned about it was like to be the president. We wrote reports about what new laws we would make if we were the president. We typed them up and created a picture of us as the next president in front of the white house! We had so much fun saying what we would do to change thew world.

The Cat in the Hat came into our classroom and caused such a mess! We wrote about his adventures in our room and created these Cat in the Hat pictures to go with it! We hope he comes back next year.

We were able to show out money skills by creating leprechauns and painting rainbows with their gold at the end of the rainbow. Then we each chose our treasure in the pot, added it up and wrote how much money our leprechaun had. -2LC Foodies

QR Code Money
We used the QR code reader on the ipads to scan codes. Then, we had to find the matching coin amount which was the same as the scanned value. This was challenging but we did it!-2LC foodies

To help us with both our money skills and our spelling skills we combined the two activities. We had papers which assigned each alphabet letter a coin. We then used our spelling words to find how much each word was worth. We had a lot of fun trying to find the most expensive and least expensive word. -2LC foodies

100th day of school
We had so much fun celebrating the 100th day of school. We each received a 100 dollar bill with our face on it and we had to write about what we would do with the money. We were very creative and some us even gave a lot of our money to charity.Cause and effect mats

Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr. was a great leader in his church but when we was little he could not play with his friends because they were white and he was black and he couldn't go to the same church as white people. He couldn't go to the same school as the white people and he had to sit on the other side of the bus. -Cookies and Cream
We made our pictures of Martin Luther King by making a portrait of him. Next we had to color in the picture. -Popsicle

How we made our geometry snowflakes: First, we got a blue piece of paper. Next, we got lots and lots of shapes and cut them out. Then, we glued all of the shapes on the blue paper and then we wrote how many shapes there were on the paper. -Cotton candy

We wrote about January is and January isn't. I said January isn't swimming on a very cold day when it is snowing. But January is going to Cancun in Mexico when it is sunny there and also to be kind there. I tried to put in a lot of details. -lasagne
First, our teacher told us what to do. Next, we started working. I wrote: January isn't like jumping into pools and stuff like that. I mean what if a child did that? That would be crazy! Last, I said but January is like skiing with your family and just...having fun! - cheeseburger

Hot Cocoa Writing
We made a hot chocolate writing and a picture. First, we cut the paper and made it into a mug.Second, we put brown paper on as chocolate. Finally we put the marshmallows in the paper mug- Tacos
I made some delicious cocoa. First we cut out the cocoa mix, and then we cut out the mug. Then we wrote the sentence and glued everything together. Then we glued on the marshmallows and added the glitter and designed the cup - hamburger
Hot Cocoa is yummy. I made a fake hot cocoa. I cut out a paper mug and glued it to a piece of paper. Next, Mrs. Martino put on the marshmallows. - Ginger

We are building a snowman. First, we had to roll 3 small, medium and bog balls. Then, we had to decorate the snowman with coal eyes, a carrot nose and two stick arms and a black hat. -PizzaIn the winter it is fun to build a snowman. First, build the base of the snowman. Then, make the head of the snowman and put it on the base. Next, put on a nose and a mouth and arms and maybe a hat. -Donut hole
We made snowmen. How we made them is we rolled big balls, then medium, then a small one for a head. Then, we put on the eyes, and a mouth then we added a carrot nose and we put on arms. But then the snowman got cold so we gave him a scarf. - Captain Krabby Patty

Cursive in Pudding
Cursive in Pudding
We are learning cursive and it is really hard to do when you just start. You have to connect the letters. -Gummi Bear
We started to learn how to write our letters in cursive by practicing in pudding. First we spread it out like paper, learned to write letters e,l,t,a,n,m,o and c. Then we connected them to make words like let and tell. At the end of each practice we were able to lick the pudding on our finger! We had so much fun! -2LC foodies
